Family and food. An all-time classic union for narrative photography. For me, so many memories have been made in the kitchen. It was where I learned what food felt like even before I was tall enough to see over the counters. Where I watched the process of making recipes that were passed down to my mother from start to finish. The kitchen is where I've made many mistakes too like that time I put tin-foil in the microwave (yikes!) or used a cake pan 2 sizes too small (head smack). What started as a mood board came to life with help from local creatives and this darling family of 4. This project was made for Tether, a community and resource for image-makers who live and make a living in Cincinnati. I wanted to create a moment similar to a memory I had as a kid. From the props to the waffles, my A-team helped tell the story of a Sunday brunch with the kiddos. Thank you to everyone who was involved! Credits:Set stylist: Laura Wolf from Wolf & Bird Events
